Cauldron Music is a hive of activity, an independent record label and production company supporting independent musicians playing original music.

 

Headed by guitarist, composer and producer Bill Shanley whose credits include  Ray Davies (The Kinks), Gilbert O’Sullivan, Mary Black, Paul Brady to name a few. Its mix of folk-rock, guitar based rock, contemporary singer songwriter sounds are all blessed with creative originality and purpose.

 

So far Cauldron Music has issued releases by Moon Looks On, Celtic World, Ronan Keating and the Mount Sion Choir, Emer Dunne, Jessica Gydesen, Ryan J, Three Thin Dimes, Power Wagon, Shanley Sessions and Bill Shanley’s two solo albums Fingerpainting and Midnight Mission. 

 

In 2021, Cauldron began working with Scottish artist Michel McGovern, releasing the critically acclaimed album Highfield Suite a beautifully articulate set of self-penned songs which reflect his Scottish upbringing. Celtic and Indie Folk flavours permeate his music and the result is a beguilingly captivating collection of quality original music.

Now comes the latest release from Michael, a two part single 'I'm a Physician (Pt. 1 & 2)', which shows a progression in Michael's music and utilises an array of new instrumentation including percussion and a brass section.

In April 2023, Moon Looks On released its debut album "Way Out West" to high acclaim. This album of self penned songs is available at our store
